My name is Ryan Warthen. I am a versatilist. My primary being working with graphic design and brand design. I also really enjoy illustrating and motion design with the ability to video edit. Have past experience with 3D and want to get back into it.
My passion for graphic design started at a young age with loving art but flourished later in life. I originally went to college to study computer art and design after high school. I was really into video games and movies that had awesome cg production. After six years of this attempt, I decided to take a break with the intention of coming back stronger and ready to graduate.
Well instead I ended up pursuing my another dream of being an underground rock star. I was able to get a few bands going and help out in the local underground scene, where my passion for graphic design was starting to surface. This was through designing logos, merch, and show flyers. It took a couple years and two bands before I realized being in bands is hard and can suck. On top of being a line cook for so many years I decide it was time. When returning to school I was informed that it would be easier for me to return as a graphic design major instead of computer arts as I had earlier attempted. It was the sign with everything I had done since leaving school the first time.
After graduating in 2020 and figuring out my next move during the height of the pandemic I decided to move to Phoenix. It was in Phoenix that I landed my first graphic design job, that was in production, I discovered my love for motion design. Combining that with my experience with branding and graphic design, I bring more to the table than your typical designer.
My hobbies include drawing, illustrating, playing guitar and recently collecting Star Wars trading cards. But I am interested in collecting anything associated with Star Wars for the most part.
